These conditions apply to all sales concluded directly with La Closerie Deauville, whose registered office is at 59, rue Albert Fracasse - 14800 Deauville (with the exception of sales concluded with online agencies such as booking.com, group bookings and seminars).
The customer hereby acknowledges having read these general terms and conditions of sale and undertakes to comply with them.
These conditions of sale may be modified at any time, and the conditions applicable will be those in force on the date on which the reservation is made.

ARTICLE 1- PRICES

The prices shown are in €uro and include VAT, which is applicable on the day of booking. Any change in the applicable rate, or any modification or introduction of new legal taxes by the competent authorities, will be automatically reflected in the prices indicated on the invoice date.
Rates are per room for the number of people indicated and according to the period selected, and do not include services (unless otherwise stated).
The tourist tax is additional and must be paid directly on site. The rate applied will be that set by the municipalities of the towns where the establishments concerned are located (unless otherwise stated on the booking).
Certain services may be subject to a supplement and to change without notice, for which the hotel cannot be held responsible.
No stay booked before the introduction of a promotional offer will be refunded, even partially.

ARTICLE 2- RESERVATIONS AND MEANS OF PAYMENT

Bookings can be made on the www.lacloserieresidences.fr or www.lacloseriedeauville.com websites, by telephone, e-mail or post.
The reservation will only be effective if it is guaranteed by the customer, either by providing a credit card number with a validity date or by paying a deposit, and after receiving detailed confirmation of the reservation.
Payment for all services must be made directly to the residence (with the exception of prepaid bookings at the time of booking).
The residence reserves the right to refuse any booking if the credit card number is incorrect or the booking incomplete.
Bookings from all sources are payable in €uro only.
La Closerie Deauville accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and has a secure reservation system (SSL) which protects and encrypts all sensitive data transmitted at the time of booking to prevent any disclosure to a third party.
At the time of booking, a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay will be taken.

A higher amount may be deducted in the following cases:
- Non-cancellable - non-refundable" promotional offer.
- If the validity date of the credit card is earlier than the date of arrival.

In all cases, the customer will be asked to present the card used for the prepayment or deposit on arrival. Should this not be the case, La Closerie Deauville reserves the right to refuse and cancel the reservation.

The customer is solely responsible for their choice of services and their suitability for their needs, and La Closerie Deauville cannot be held liable in this respect.

ARTICLE 3-FORCE MAJEURE

Force majeure is understood to mean any event outside the control of the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, preventing the customer from carrying out all or part of the obligations set out in the contract. This applies in particular to strikes involving means of transport, hotel staff or government or public riots.

ARTICLE 4- CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Any modification or cancellation of a booking must be requested by email from the residence info@lacloseriedeauville.com or by telephone on 02.31.14.15.16 or on www.lacloseriedeauville.com if the booking was made on the La Closerie Deauville website.

- More than 48 hours before the arrival date, the deposit paid will be refunded or carried over to a later stay.
- In the event of cancellation less than 48 hours before the arrival date, cancellation on the day of arrival, no-show, delayed arrival, early departure, the amount of the first night booked or the night in question will be due (accommodation and other services booked), invoiced and debited from the card left as a guarantee.

These cancellation and modification conditions only apply to BAR, fidelity and flexible fares.

Special fares (non-refundable, non-exchangeable, promotional or other) are subject to conditions other than those listed above (see the conditions of these fares at the time of booking and confirmation).
The request will only become effective once La Closerie Deauville has confirmed its acceptance in writing.

For bookings made via our partners' websites, cancellations must be made via this website. The cancellation conditions that apply are specific to the partner and may therefore differ from those of La Closerie Deauville.
If you wish to extend your stay, you must inform the residence reception by 10.00 a.m. at the latest on the day of your planned departure, in order to check availability and prices.

ARTICLE 5- THE HOTEL AND SERVICES

The children's breakfast rate applies to children up to the age of 12.
For safety and hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the breakfast room.
Flats are available from 16:00 and must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. A supplement may be charged if the maximum check-out time is not respected. In the event of arrival after 20:00, reception must be notified.
The customer accepts and undertakes to use the flats with good manners. Any behaviour contrary to good morals and public order will lead the hotelier to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation or refund if payment has already been made.

ARTICLE 6-HOUSING

In the event that La Closerie Deauville is not available or in the event of force majeure, La Closerie Deauville reserves the right to accommodate the customer in whole or in part in a hotel of equivalent or higher category, offering services of the same nature. The transfer will then be at the expense of the hotelier, who will not be liable for any additional compensation.

ARTICLE 7- COMPLAINTS

All complaints must be sent to La Closerie Deauville by registered letter with return receipt, within 15 days of the departure of the holiday that is the subject of the complaint. After this period, no complaint can be taken into account.

ARTICLE 8- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND PRIVACY

In application of the French Data Protection Act 78-17, customers are informed that their reservation is subject to computerised personal data processing. Users have the right to access and rectify the data entered, which may be exercised by contacting the head office: La Closerie Deauville - 59, rue Albert Fracasse - 14800 Deauville. It is specified that this information is not communicated to third parties.

La Closerie Deauville offers wifi internet access. The client user undertakes to ensure that the computer resources made available are not used in any way for the purposes of reproduction, representation, making available or communication to the public of works or objects protected by copyright, by a related right such as texts, images, photographs, audiovisual musical works, software and video games, without the authorisation of the holders of the rights provided for in Book I and II of the Intellectual Property Code when such authorisation is required.

ARTICLE 9 - LIABILITY

La Closerie Deauville declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage to guests' belongings during their stay.
The customer will be held responsible for any damage, deterioration or act of vandalism that may occur as a result of occupying the premises and/or as a result of the participants and/or the staff for whom he/she is responsible, to movable, decorative and immovable property belonging or not belonging to the residence.
As a result, La Closerie Deauville may ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and without any refund of the current stay, and to reimburse any damage caused by these acts.

Art.10- APPLICABLE LAW

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. This applies to both substantive and formal rules. Any disputes will fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
